Bio
Márcia is a Texas-based figurative artist exploring ways of expressing narrative imagery. She works mainly with oil paint and charcoal. She received her BFA in Drawing and Painting with an Illustration Emphasis from the Laguna College of Art and Design.
Artist Statement
In her work, she deals with figures in environments and how their interaction creates a narrative. She wants to highlight the connection between the human experience and the built environment. Her work explores themes such as intimacy, conflict, and trust through the lens of the household and its dynamics.
